What it is

The NOMATIC Backpack is the brand’s everyday convertible work backpack—not the Travel Pack, not the Navigator Pack, and not the larger Travel Bag. Official page copy: “Move from commute to meeting without carrying a different bag. The NOMATIC Backpack converts from backpack to briefcase carry and expands 20% when you need extra space, while keeping a clean, minimalist profile for everyday use.”

Who it’s for

Use it if your work day wants a structured, office-friendly backpack with full-perimeter opening, about 20 purpose-built pockets, a padded laptop sleeve, RFID-safe storage, magnetic water-bottle pockets, luggage pass-through, and a patented strap system that converts to briefcase carry.

Official 20L vs 14L comparison (product page):

• Capacity & expansion: 20L → 24L vs 14L → 17L
• Laptop: up to 16” vs up to 15”
• Both: dedicated tablet sleeve, RFID-safe interior pocket
• 20L only called out: document sleeve, secret back-panel pocket, waist-strap attachments
• Luggage pass-through: horizontal (20L) vs vertical (14L)
• FAQ: 14L for minimal daily carry / smaller frames / lighter loadouts; 20L if you carry more gear

Skip it if you want hiking, tactical/CCW, a fashion handbag, or one-bag travel as the whole site lane—that is the Travel Pack / Travel Bag side of NOMATIC, not this Backpack. Also skip if you hate dense pocket layouts or will not pay ~$320–$330 for an EDC work pack.

Standout details

• Converts from backpack to briefcase with the patented strap system (official “Seamless Carry”).

• 20 purpose-built pockets; full-perimeter opening for access.
• Padded laptop sleeve (16” on 20L / 15” on 14L) plus dedicated tablet sleeve; RFID pocket; hidden/secret compartment for cash, AirTag, or valuables (20L back-panel pocket called out in the size table).

Honest verdict

Use it. For a tech-heavy commute or cafe-office day that wants assigned pockets, a padded 15–16” laptop sleeve, RFID storage, and a clean briefcase option—at $319.99–$329.99 on the official US page—the NOMATIC Backpack is the brand’s clearest daily work pack when the Travel Pack’s extra expansion and travel features are more bag than the office needs.

Do not buy it if you want a simple dump-pocket daypack, need more than 24L, or are shopping the Travel Pack / Navigator line by mistake. Re-review if NOMATIC changes the $319.99 / $329.99 prices, drops a colorway, revises the 15”/16” laptop claims, or merges this SKU into another line.
