What it is

The Able Carry Max EDC is Able Carry’s 26L everyday backpack built around a flexible three-compartment layout for daily carry. Official page copy: “Maximise everyday carry with Max EDC, a 26L backpack with a flexible 3-compartment design, convenient easy access pockets, and ergonomic fit to tackle any occasion.”

This page is the Max EDC (26L) only. It is not the Able Carry Daily Plus already listed on Unseen Carry, and it is not the larger Max travel backpack.

Who it’s for

Use it if your work day wants more than a slim 20L pack: a dedicated work compartment for a laptop up to 17”, a flexible admin pocket for bulky chargers, a clamshell main compartment with zippered and stretch slip pockets, and a duffel-style front compartment for ad-hoc bulk—gym kit, jacket, or other day extras—without defaulting to a pure travel bag.

Official layout blocks: Front Compartment (duffel-style wide zippered opening, internal pocket, expandable); Main Compartment (zippered pockets, stretch slip pockets, flexible panels, clamshell opening; standalone or with pouches); Work Compartment (tech tools in one place, up to 17” laptops, expandable admin pocket).

Skip it if you need hiking or tactical gear, a fashion handbag, or one-bag travel as the whole product. Also skip if the smaller Able Carry Daily Plus already covers your commute, or if a 3.2–3.4 lb empty pack is more bag than a light office day needs.

Standout details

  • Three-zone layout: duffel-style front, clamshell main, and a separate padded work compartment for up to a 17” laptop.
  • Flexible admin pocket in the work compartment for bulky chargers or large tech items (official Work Compartment copy).
  • Ripstop builds at $278 (Black / Tan / Olive) and X-Pac builds at $298 (Tarmac Black / Desert Brown / Ocean Blue / Earth Green).
  • Official dimensions 19.6” × 11.8” × 7.5”; Ripstop weight 1.47 kg / 3.2 lbs; X-Pac (Tarmac Black) 1.55 kg / 3.4 lbs.
  • Water-resistant DWR fabrics; Able Carry states packs are not fully waterproof and recommends a rain cover for heavy rain.
  • Page rating at review: 4.8 / 5 from 335 reviews; Two Week Test Run on backpacks; Lifetime Guarantee.

Honest verdict

Use it. For a laptop-first commute that needs a true work compartment (up to 17”) plus room for a bulky day kit—at $278 Ripstop or $298 X-Pac on the official US page—the Max EDC is Able Carry’s clearest step up from the Daily Plus when a slim daypack runs out of space and a full travel Max is more bag than the office needs.

Do not buy it if Daily Plus already fits your kit, you want a brief instead of a backpack, or you are shopping the larger Max travel pack by mistake. Re-review if Able Carry changes the $278/$298 matrix, drops a colorway, revises the 17” laptop claim, or merges this SKU into another line.
